Collaboration books like this allow a group of like-minded authors to publish a book together with significantly less investment (of time AND money) than a solo project.
The process starts with an application and a $100 application fee. The application tells us a bit about who you are and confirms whether your story would be a good fit for this project. The fee says, “Yes, I’m seriously interested, let’s DO this.”
If you’re selected for inclusion in With Grace and Grit, the application fee goes towards the full author fee of $1800.00.
The author fee helps to fund the costs of publishing and promoting the book. It’s a fraction of the costs required to self-publish on your own.

What is a collaboration book?
A collaboration book is a collection of like-minded authors bringing their unique voices together to provide wisdom on a specific subject. (The way women work, in our case!) Think about the Chicken Soup books - each chapter is a story by a different author.
What do I need to do?
Keep it simple! Start with this application - let’s see if we are a good fit.
For those who like more details…
We’ll review your application and contact you. If you’re accepted, you’ll write and submit a chapter (Each submission will be between 2000 - 3500 words). Our professional copy editor will work with you to polish your draft, and we’ll take care of the rest.
You’ll also be asked to provide a bio and headshot (for the back of the book and the website).
Joining With Grace and Grit will connect you with a community of authors—you’ll be able to attend collaboration calls, networking events, and promotion celebrations, amplify your voice, and meet other like-minded entrepreneurs.
I’m not sure what to write about! What should I do?
I have a process to help you work through your ideas. All you have to do is have a virtual coffee with me and we will figure it out!
When will the book be published?
The next book is ontrack to be published by the fall 2024. If you’re invited to collaborate on the project, we'll give you a deadline for submitting the first draft of your chapter.
Why do people contribute to a collaboration book?
Contributing to a collaboration book leverages the power of community to create win-win-win situations.
The first win: you as a writer have the chance to align with others and become published with less expense and effort than doing it all yourself.
The second win: being a published author helps you build authority and set you up as even more of an expert. This book can be your calling card for speaking engagements and media opportunities which will build new resources and networks.
The third win: your wisdom reaches readers who benefit from a wealth of stories written by women who have been there and have inspiration to share.
Will I get royalties from the book sales?
Contributing authors do not receive royalties, but you have the option to purchase copies at a discount and sell the book yourself at retail price, thereby making a profit.
What if I know more amazing women who should be invited?
We are stronger together AND there is always room for more at the table! If you recommend someone and they are selected for With Grace and Grit, then you get $100.00 discount on your fee!
YES, that means if you refer two people you get $200.00 discount. I am excited to see the ripples spread far and wide.
3 Simple Steps to Get Started
Fill out the With Grace and Grit application
Your application will be considered. Once your application has been confirmed, you’ll be sent an invoice for an deposit fee of $100.00
Once approved each author will invest $1800.00 (less the $100.00 application fee and any referral discounts). The fee covers getting your chapters edited and proofed, as well as the book design and publishing costs. It also includes networking events, coaching calls, and promotional materials.
