Annita came to Nova Scotia just over a year ago and decided it was time to emerge and share her ideas with her new community.
Annita describes her life in Nova Scotia as being at the intersection of craft beer and crafting. She took a leap of faith and attended a Mashup Weekend Event. She shared one of her many ideas and worked throughout the day on making it a reality. Annita won the support of the room that day, and was voted the most likely viable business idea.
She went on to participate in the Dream Business program and created Craft Local - a community event that was on the Friday of the Apple Blossom Festival. She had craft brewers, local makers and artisans, and worked to support a local charity.
Trust your gut is the lesson that Annita learned. She has lots of self doubt, and has learned to conquer that internal fear, and is proud of what she achieved in spit of herself.
For anyone in Nova Scotia - watch your local markets and see if Annita and Craft Local are coming to a community near you!
