Portugal traditions and being a grandma!
Manuela came to Canada with her family at the age of 5 but her roots run strong. She has been back every three years to visit family and friends and more recently more often.
Manuela is very proud to be a grandmother and can't put into words the love of being a grandmother. The sheer joy of grandchildren is something that can't compare.
Manuela has been teaching traditional Portuguese dancing. Manuela loves to share the traditions of home. She has worked hard to incorporate the love of her culture for families and children in Canada. You don't have to be Portuguese to participate, you just have to be willing to dance! Manuela, her son Samuel, and cousin are the team teaching folk dance for anyone who wants to learn. The classes are for children aged 5 to 17. It is an incorporation of the culture.
Manuela started dancing as a child, and continued the tradition. She worked her local church to bring back youth to the church community. Her contrition was teaching dance, and her husband started soccer. Now the kids can teach the parents the traditional dance.
Manuela shares her #InnerWisdom on Portuguese traditions.
