Not all lessons are in the university classroom.
Emma Greene is studying a Bachelor of Education at Acadia University. She has been working as a residence assistant on campus. Emma shares her Inner Wisdom on the lessons she has learned as an RA. Emma tells of the personal growth she has gleamed during her time as an RA.
She has had the challenge of speaking with students about mental health, sexual assault disclosure, abuse, stress and so much more. Emma recognizes that this has been the best personal learning she could have ever expected, however she also recognizes that being prepared is tough.
Emma encourages others to apply for the position of RA, not for the "financial" gains, but for the opportunity to grow!
Emma hopes that consent will be a life change, taught to children as the opportunity to say "Yes", not to students who arrive at university and need a wake up call.
Listen as Emma shares her Inner Wisdom, and learnings from outside the classroom.
