Girl in the wild!
Proud Mom Moment - this is the first interview that I had the pleasure of having my daughter, Rebecca ask the questions and I was just a listener! Kim and Girl in the Wild is something that Rebecca has been following on social media, and shared with me to ensure that we connected with Kim to share her story!
What happens when you are living a life of self-loathing and feeling alone and begin to share your story... life changes. It is powerful to learn that you are not alone.
Kim shares the challenges that drove her to creating Girls in the Wild, a free camp to help girls value themselves, learn about becoming leaders, while creating a sisterhood that lasts a lifetime. Kim talks about the power of cracking wide open the emotions, love, pain and frustrations of growing up, sharing struggles, and real conversations. Kim speaks of the beauty of these women rising together through living and camping in the wilderness.
"No lion left behind!" was the camp mantra, showcasing the love and power of working together!
It is so beneficial to share outloud that things sometimes suck. That things are not always great. That sharing allowed Kim to feel REAL. Her messages are notes back to herself as a reminder that how she shows up in the world is ok!
What you are supposed to do - is what feels right to YOU! Sometimes that is the opposite of what others think!
Wouldn't it be crazy if we expected of trees what we expect of people - to be the same - the forrest would cease to be beautiful! Kim says show up as YOU are! Just be YOU!
Kim wishes that each and every person who applies understands that they are ENOUGH! That they find the self confidence in themselves that they can't yet see!
What would you do if you defined your life as an adventurer? What would you do if you you believed in yourself as amazing? We would be unstoppable!
You can support Kim and her work Girl in the Wild by visiting her website, purchasing merchandise, or send her a note, she is always looking for Rad Women who want to support GIRL IN THE WILD!
