The power of communication!
Mary Jane Copps has been known as The Phone Lady for 13 years. She has been training people how to communicate effectively on the phone. The training is for businesses who want to create relationships with their customers.
Mary Jane shares the value of phone communication and tone of voice. She speaks to the benefits of tone of voice and gives an example of the same sentence with two different tones, but exactly the same words. She speaks to the mistakes and errors that happen through out the world because of email information.
Mary Jane knows that errors and miscommunication happen on a regular basis due to text and email. What comes out loudly and clearly is the power of communication in our current and future leaders. What will come through communication in friendships, relationships, marriage, raising children? Leaders use the phone, and face to face communication to share their message, and change the world.
The loss of communication skills is due to the fact that on a daily basis communication is happening through email, websites and technology. A technology that we have embraced and welcomed. We have created a divide in the population because those who can communicate will be presented opportunities that are never advertised, or show to others. Communication is essential to grow, to learn, to build relationships. We don't want to abandon real time convesations for text or email.
