There is lots of time!
Joscelyn was a Nanny's girl. She was inspired by her Nan to be come a nurse. As her grandmother aged she was able to return the care given to her to her Nan. Joscelyn contributes her success and her nursing career to her Nan. Inspired by the care and love her Nan gave to others, she always wanted to be a nurse.
Joscelyn's Nan began working, and caring for others at the age of 14, and was married at 16.
There is lots of time, Nan's favorite saying, lots of time to stay. If you left her home hungry it was your own fault because she loved to feed people.
Joscelyn is off on a new adventure to the Northwest Territories. She is looking to have some new experiences, try out a different place in life. She is hoping to experience some new culture, and meet new people.
Joscelyn talks about the differences between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. In medical terms she says that Nova Scotia is behind the times in charting, everything in Newfoundland was computerized. The aging population and demographics are contributing to the health care shortage of services. It is a challenge for frontline staff who are often blamed for things that they have no control over.
Joscelyn is committed to providing nursing care as if it were for her own Nan!
